Parents often come to us already halfway through comparing several camps, unsure what actually matters most.

Start with who is running it. A camp is only as strong as the people leading it, so ask about the mentors, their experience, and how they are trained to handle a struggling boy.

Then look at the structure of each day. A camp full of loose free time will not push your son the way a camp with real challenges and reflection will.

“A camp is only as strong as the people leading it.”

Then ask about safety and communication. A good camp will be clear about how boys are supervised, and how you will be updated if something important comes up.

Then think about fit. A shy boy may need a camp with smaller groups and more one on one time. A restless boy may need more physical challenge built into the day.

And finally, listen to other parents. A camp with real testimonials from families who have been through it tells you more than any brochure can.

We built our camp around these exact questions, because we asked them ourselves before we ever ran our first intake.
