Alionzi Lawrence Dangote

The youngest City Mayor in Uganda leading Arua City in West Nile, Lawrence's story is one of the most striking any boy at camp usually hears. Born and raised in West Nile, Dangote rose to become the 88th Guild President of Makerere University, Uganda's oldest and most prestigious institution of higher learning, where he pursued engineering. Upon graduation, he served as Managing Director of Joadah Design Institute.

To have reached elected office at the age of 26 years, in a role most people spend decades working toward, makes Lawrence a living example of what is possible when leadership is taken seriously early. He has spoken to boys at camp about public speaking and leadership, drawing directly on his own path from student leader to engineer to the youngest mayor in Uganda, and pushing every boy in the room to see city hall, not as something distant, but as somewhere he could genuinely stand one day.
