SP Ann Ajio

SP Ann Ajio is a Ugandan police officer and experienced police leader with a strong background in law enforcement, public safety, public order, and professional police training. She joined the Uganda Police Force in 2010 as a cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police.

Based in Gulu, she currently serves as the Regional Training Officer for the Aswa West Region, contributing to the development of the knowledge, skills, and professional capacity of police officers serving across the region.

Before taking on her current training role, SP Ajio served as a District Police Commander, carrying overall responsibility for policing, public safety, law enforcement, and security operations within her district. Her career has also included serving as Officer in Charge of Kyenjojo Police Station and Officer in Charge of Nagalam Police Division, giving her extensive practical experience managing police operations, working with communities, responding to security challenges, and leading officers in demanding circumstances.

This combination of field leadership and police training gives SP Ajio a particularly valuable perspective when engaging young people. She understands that effective law enforcement is not only about responding when something has gone wrong, it is also about prevention, guidance, discipline, professional conduct, and helping people understand their responsibilities before they find themselves in trouble.

At the Boys to Men Mentorship Camp, SP Ajio contributes to our deliberate partnership with the Uganda Police Force. We want boys to learn about the law before they encounter the consequences of breaking it, and her sessions help them understand law and order, discipline, respect for others, responsible citizenship, and the importance of making wise decisions.

For parents, SP Ann Ajio brings the experience of a senior woman police leader, former district commander, and professional police trainer. She helps our boys understand that becoming responsible men requires self-control, respect for the law, good judgement, and accountability for one's actions. Her message is simple: think before you act, respect others, obey the law, and become a man whom your family and community can trust.
