Omia Razak Iganaci

An agribusiness leader passionate about transforming smallholder farming in Africa, Razak is the Founder and CEO of Omia Agribusiness Development Group Ltd, working to ensure last-mile access to climate-smart agricultural inputs, extension services, irrigation systems, and market linkages, empowering farmers, refugees, youth, and women.

Growing up in a farming household, he witnessed firsthand the challenges and resilience of rural communities. His passion for agribusiness is deeply personal: his parents were exiled in South Sudan (1980–1990) due to conflict in Uganda, and in 1998, his father was murdered by rebels in Yumbe. These experiences have shaped his commitment to resilience, economic empowerment, and food security.

With over six years of experience leading agribusiness solutions, he has mobilized funding, built strategic partnerships, and integrated digital tools to scale agricultural services. Omia Agribusiness employs 81 full-time staff, all young people, working with partners including Mercy Corps, the World Food Programme, USAID, the Danish Refugee Council, Palladium, Ayuda en Accion, USADF, and SNV.

He leads the West Nile Agribusiness and Renewable Energy Expo, an annual event bringing together 75+ exhibitors and 3,000+ farmers, and is a 2024 Acumen East Africa Fellow, a 2019 Mandela Washington Fellow, and a 2022 One Young World Ambassador.
